The current regulations regarding PFAS are as follows: Complete regulation: PFOS, PFOA, and precursors of PFHxS are subject to regulation for almost all applications. Planned regulation in Europe: PFHxA is prohibited for use in the following limited applications: textiles, leather, paper, food packaging, shoes, etc. For PFAS other than the above (organic fluorinated compounds), it has been considered that there are no impacts on the environment or human health in the past. There is no evidence that substances other than the currently regulated PFAS are harmful, and due to the significant impact on industries such as semiconductors and automobiles if regulations were to be imposed, regulation in Europe is currently under consideration.
